Infinity Care’s Care At Home Services

At Infinity Care, we provide the care you need where and when you most need it, which is in the comfort of your own home. According to the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), as many as 76% of seniors would prefer to age in the familiar surroundings of their own place. Aging in place enables senior citizens to remain in their home instead of moving into an independent or assisted living community such as a nursing home. With our help, you or your loved one can live, and thrive, in the place they love the most, at home. We provide the support necessary to allow our clients to keep their independence, which is one of the hardest things for most of us to lose.

What Is Care At Home?

Care At Home services, also commonly known as simple home care, is a professional support service which allows people, especially the elderly and disabled, to live happily, healthily, and safely in the comfort of their own home. Home care includes professionals that provide assistance in the homes of individuals suffering from chronic health issues or recovering from a medical procedure such as a complicated surgery.

These services are provided by professional care providers who work with clients on a short-term or long-term basis, depending on the scope of care required for your specific needs. At Infinity Care, our care at home plans are customizable to ensure you can receive the best professional home care services to meet your needs and requirements. Since our plans are customized for support, the services you receive can be adjusted as your situation changes.

Ways Homecare Services Can Help

Our certified home care aides are trained and licensed in different areas of home care to ensure that the plan created by you and your case manager can be executed. Our compassionate and comforting staff of professional caregivers are able to provide one or more of the following home care services:

Personal Care Service

Personal care is, well, personal. This is where caregivers assist with basic activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing and grooming. Personal care services also includes assistance with all of the following:

  • Ensure safety when patient is mobile
  • Meal preparation and special diet
  • Oral hygiene and toileting care
  • Choosing clothes and dressing
  • Medication reminders or distribution
  • Transportation to appointments

To receive personal care services, a prescription from your doctor is not required and the care can be provided on a regular schedule that works best for the client, including up to 24/7 care.

Companion Care Service

Though the services included can be very similar to personal care service, companion care is focused on engaging with the client and building relationships with their family and friends. Unfortunately, there can be severe consequences related to lack of socialization and companionship when it comes to the mental health of the elderly community. Seniors can feel lonely and isolated, which can lead to depression and an increased risk of dementia. To prevent this from happening to you or a loved one, our companion care home aides are trained and able to provide the following services:

  • Participate in light activity such as walking outside
  • Assist with meal prep and spend meals with the patient
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Simple errands or grocery shopping
  • Provide emotional support and conversation
  • Transportation to social events or appointments
  • Medication reminders or distribution
  • Establish friendship and provide mental stimulation
  • Offer general supervision for fall prevention and safety

Also, similar to personal care, companion care services do not need to be prescribed by your doctor and can be provided on an ongoing basis so long as it meets the patient’s needs.

Respite Care Service

If you are the main caregiver of a loved one, respite care is the service you will use when you need to take a break to recharge. Caregiver burnout is real and can be detrimental to both the caregiver and their loved one. Respite Care is defined as the transfer of primary caregiving responsibilities to another individual so that the primary caregiver can receive temporary relief from their caregiving responsibilities. Though the caregiver’s responsibilities can be transferred to a relative or a friend, it is common for a professional caregiver to be hired.

Respite care can be provided for a few hours a week or a few hours a day to meet the needs of the client while the main caregiver is on break or vacation. It is important for the family caregiver to take necessary breaks and remember to still take care of themselves as well. Self-care is a vital part of happiness and helps reduce stress immensely when practiced on a regular basis. By not taking breaks every now and then, the caregiver is actually risking their own health. Our respite care services help families to find the optimum balance between caring for the beloved family member and taking care of themselves. When the primary caregiver returns for duty, they will feel refreshed and re-energized, making for a happy, stress-free environment.
